This cat was blown up.

Dead Cat

This is the way we treat our cats in Blackrock.

This beautiful little kitten was blown up by a young thug and his friends with fireworks.

Everyone in the neighbourhood knows who did it.

The guards have been informed.

This little thug will go on to do the same to humans someday.

Will anyone do anything about this?

We wait and see.

Disgusted.

simply condemning the child isn't enough. one must ask how anyone can grow up so morally rudderless as to be able to treat an innocent animal with such vicious cruelty.

I'm not sure what age the alleged perpetrator is, but I am wary about criminalising someone at an early age. But I do agree that some intelligent kind of intervention is necessary, and you are right to be very concerned about what this person may do in the future - the serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer, began on animals before he turned his attention to humans.
However I think you should have posted this as "animal rights" rather than "crime & justice".

I'm unconvinced that the alledged perpetrator will grow up to do the same to humans someday, for one thing it takes a lot more fireworks to do this to a human being, and Mc Dowell has reinforced the laws to make them hard to come by.

I don't see any problem with this being submitted under the heading Crime and Justice. Isn't blowing up a cat a crime? Isn't having fireworks a crime?

What I am saying is there should definitely be some intervention, but draging young people through the criminal justice system and giving them a criminal record at an early age is likely to be counter-productive, and so is not the way to deal with this.

so that we might make appropriate comment reserving our right to be both civilly disobedient and fashionable and protest any resulting legislative changes to the laws of our land. Accordingly we all ought resolve to make public and generally known our demand to the minister for justice, equality and law reform to make wise and proper use of the instruments at his hand to quickly allay our fears that this perpetrator may at some future stage become so wicked and cruel of temperment wherfore all citizens of Ireland and migrants to same will go about in great fear for their lives, for that perpetrator who had falling short of nutritious devourment of the animal of the genus felix and species felix but chose rather to kill it in a most cruel and unusual way using illegally held, imported, sold and traded explosive novelty devices, Oh Michael of the big swinging mickey mc Dowell, I call on you by name to workest now in fulfillment of your holy and binding oaths to the nation and make right what hath most greviously been wrought in Blackrock, by which I hope I need not clarify not meaning the reanimation of said slain domesticated animal or any other sundry sorcery or thaumaturgy, necromancy or possibly further sacrilege to the dead moggy but allbeit to treat upon the villainous knave in our midst, fain Michael would I, to oblige you do public justice in this, for verily the youth hath not obtained sustenance from the killing but only a most malevolent and evil pleasure, teach him oh worthless and pompous minister to abide by both laws of the land and tradition of the nation, and come to full understanding of moral inter-species intercourse.

into the cat?

author by arthurpublication date Sat Nov 05, 2005 18:44author address author phone

The treatment of the cat is simply apalling but there may be some truth that there is an unseen hand in nature and those that do this should be aware ,what goes round comes round. Why are our offspring not made aware of nature and some attempt made by the education system to teach these misguided misfits that we humans are also biological creatures that have come a slightly different route in our evolution. We are able to study physics and embrace the "Hisenburgh principle" also known as the uncertaintly principle.Transpose this principle into human kind and I suggest there is two kinds of people ,some with nature and some with none.
A german who was soldiering in the 39-45 war said he killed Luthuianin civillians and said I thought it was the right thing to do at the time, now I know it wasn't
If the public see cruelty to an animal in progress they should try to stop it even if it means using the size nines on the culprits.

there are many in ireland, and more in other countries, in the USA there as many blackrocks as there are active social centres. How are we to know that this cat died recently in Ireland. No proof of date. No chalked outline, no reference point, no second shot with recognisable building, no newspaper front page for post-dating confirmation.

In short is this "our" newsworthy dead cat?
Or a shock tactic?

Virtually every serial killer ever started off as a child murdering and torturing defenceless animals . The little scrote who did that needs intensive counselling as well as a god shoeing .

Theres a good chance theres abuse of some kind in the little bastards own background which should also be looked into .

I am touched by some people's primary concern for the welfare of the perpetrators of this utterly repugnant and cruel offence as distinct from their victim.

Who the hell do you think did that to the cat ? Maybe it was a gang of rats who belong to a particular political party being busy on the ground. After all policitics is always local. Maybe this cat was an informer or was seen helping a British mouse across the road ?

The plain fact is that this was a foul deed and the perps' need to face a criminal court.

As far as future propensities go I think that this type of behaviour at a reportedly young age does not bode well for the future of these individuals. I suggest that it bodes even less well for any of us who might have the dubious pleasure of meeting these perverts in the future.

Think about this. Let's support parenting our children and take it seriously. We wouldn't want any one else who blows up animals as a kid to get power over people as we do now. Find out who did it and get them some help.
