the solicitors firm receommened by a mr butler would be able to know the following which is generally accurate.
You can enter a CAVEAT at the probate office dublin to eg prevent probate being granted. you can ring the probate office and they will tellyou what this is etc.
for this and other reasons they can be prevented getting probate if proper dispute which there is.
it goes on ALL THE TIME so dont be too alarmed.
If the caveat fails then there are other methods at low original cost in simply LODGING proceedings in the High Court etc. In the latter such matters are dealt with by the President of the High Court not anyone else [perhaps in recognition that it goes on 'all the time']

I would suggest F H O'Reilly Solicitors at the Red Church Phibsboro Dublin 7. I have found them so far to be decent and to act with integrity. Joe TD for the Socialist Party consistentlly recommends them.
