RSF Salute 'Spirited Resistance' in Mayobridge

category down | miscellaneous | press release author Friday January 30, 2009 14:20author by Richard Walsh - Republican Sinn Féinauthor email tiocfaidh at btinternet dot comauthor phone +44-7835 620 592 / +353-87 261 8603 Report this post to the editors

The Joe Conway Cumann of RSF, Newry, Co. Down, have congratulated the youth in Mayobridge and Attical for their resistance to the British colonial police (RUC).

The Joe Conway Cuman of Republican Sinn Féin in Newry congratulates the spirited youth of Mayobridge and Attical in their resistance to the presence of British Imperial Police in their local community hall.

“Despite the best efforts of the RUC and their Provo supporters to ‘normalise’ British rule in the Six Occupied Counties, the local youth have once again demonstrated that policing here is anything but normal. In fact it seeks to enforce British rule in Ireland. While that role continues resistance will also continue,” said a spokesperson.

Oh for goodness sake, can you just make your minds up what you want to call the PSNI, is it:

British Imperial Police?
RUC?
PSNI/RUC?
British Colonial Police?
SS/RUC?
Colonial Military Police?

I have heard dissidents use them all. Rather ironic for a group that has less supporters than it has acronyms .

It would appear that you are calling mindless vandalism, political resistance?
Let me get this straight:

An area has a problem with vandalism and anti-social behavior.
The local community tries to take action, calls a meeting to which they invite police to help discuss how to tackle said crime.
The same bunch of scrotes who are likely tormenting the local community torch the police car. (think about it, the police were there in response to their behavior and by invite of the local community).
So instead of taking the side of the local community, instead of taking the side of decency, you take the side of some yobbos who terrorise their community?
You take the side of those who wreck their own areas, just so that you can have a pop at the police?
You somehow try (vainly and rather desperately) to associate your political outlook with this behavior.

I think this says more about your politics than a million manifestos or declarations or press releases ever could.
