In his forthcoming book - Hopes and Prospects, Noam Chomsky predicts hope for the future through grassroots activism as a mechanism for progressive change. “Activism is growing all over the world and ordinary people are realising that they can be agents for change”, he says.

Chomsky is said to be one of the most politically influential living academics and is promoted by rock groups such as Rage Against the Machine and Pearl Jam at their concerts the way The Beatles once promoted the Guru Maharaji. In fact, these performers solemnly read excerpts from his work in between sets and urge their followers to read him too.

Noam Chomsky may be most widely known for his work in the field of linguistics, but he is also known for his activism and outspoken criticism of United States policies, especially its foreign policy. Chomsky is also said to be "the most often cited living author" and "one of the most respected and influential intellectuals in the world".

Now YOU have the opportunity to win four tickets to An evening with Noam Chomsky. Simply answer this question: In one sentence, how do you think you can change Ireland for the better? Click here to answer.

The SpunOut.ie team will choose the two winners randomly from all answers. Answers no later than Tuesday October 27th.
