What Lucy Powell?s Grooming Gang Comments Tell Us About Labour Tue May 06, 2025 13:00 | Andrew Doyle
Voicing concerns about grooming gangs is a "dog-whistle", a "little trumpet" and jumping "on a bandwagon of the far Right". That's what Labour really thinks, says Andrew Doyle, and voters will not be forgiving.

Merz Humiliated as he LOSES Vote to Become German Chancellor Tue May 06, 2025 11:07 | Will Jones
Friedrich Merz,?leader of the German conservatives, was humiliated in Parliament today as he failed to win a majority in a secret ballot to become Chancellor. Turns out selling out to the Left has consequences.

In Germany, 'democracy' now demands that the most popular party be kicked off the media, stripped of its funding and even banned outright, according to leading figures. Germany is a really stupid country, says Eugyppius.

The Green Blob hasn't spent countless billions of dollars only to abandon the mission when the going gets tough. Expect the pushback after Reform's sweeping victories last week to be strong and venomous, says Ben Pile.

Jump To Comment: 1 2 3 4 5 6"People like you" says Charlie O'Connor to correct me if I'm mistaken Gregor Kerr of WSM. It's the other way round Charlie , it's people like YOU that are destroying our communities and the fabric of our society. It's people like YOU Charlie and people of your ilk and their actions and almost psychopathic lack of emphaty that causes suffering for working people. I'm not too aware of his past actions as a TD but his behaviour from the video is pathethic. That statement and the look of utter contempt he flashed at the young fella exemplifies the mentality that we're up against in this country. A seemingly untouchable oligarchy of gombeens and their slightly more intelligent masters sneering at the 'dreamers' and 'lefties'. But hey it's no skin off of their teeth , their kids won't be walking over used syringes or going hungry and cold. Fuckers.
Great work as always Paula.
Having participated in the Demo ,which then turned into an open air disco (my type of my protest!) I am very proud to have been involved.
The energy, noise, colour and determination of eveyone there was infectious.
I was mightly impressed with the rapper on top of the van(again my type of protest).
It was magnificent to see so many young people caring so much about each other, their communities, their projects, and fighting to defend the services for the generation to follow them.
The passion and articulation of the young folk that addressed the demo was inspiring. To know there is a generation of young people determined to stand up for themsleves and their communities was a privilige to witness.
With young people like that prepared to take a stand passing the baton on to defend our communities in the future, will be in safe hands.
Well done to everyone who organised and took part in it.
Hi folks, if you want to publish a report, photos or videos for a mainly youth audience please give us a shout at http://www.spunout.ie. We're keen to hear from young activists and will be gearing up later this year to better support young people who want to make a difference in this changing times.
Charlie is pathetic. He has a shameful defense too, ''I'm a Dubliner'', ''I'm entitled to walk the streets''.
A couple of thousands years of philosophical and political debate turns to this...
Well done to the organisers....
Well done to the protest participants...
Well done to Indymedia and the author for publishing the protest....
But.......
Ive been at most if not all protests organised over past 12mths against proposed cuts to public pay, against actual cuts to public pay and the protests against cuts to Community Development Projects.I would have most definately attended this one particularly but.....I knew nothing of it.Was it advertised generally? If not please advertise the next.....
