REPUBLICAN NETWORK for UNITY (RNU) Ard Chomhairle member, TONY TAYLOR has condemned recent house raids in Derry which were particularly aggressive by the RUC/PSNI in conjunction with British military personnel.

REPUBLICAN NETWORK for UNITY (RNU) Ard Chomhairle member, TONY TAYLOR has condemned recent house raids in Derry which were particularly aggressive by the RUC/PSNI in conjunction with British military personnel.

Mr. Taylor commented; “Four years ago, the apologists of British policing promised Republican communities accountability. Despite this, the RUC/PSNI persists in harassing Republican families.

The war of attrition against Republicans and their families continues unabated. With hundreds of Republican homes ransacked by raiding teams which now consist of the political Police and British military personnel.

Far from assisting Nationalist communities across the North, engagement with British policing has not been a solution. There is ample evidence that it is damaging working-class areas further with a huge increase in drug abuse, thuggery and associated criminality.

Most of those who create havoc in our communities are in the direct pay of the RUC/PSNI and British Intelligence Agencies who in return for information on Republican Activists and others are given a free license to sell and distribute drugs, wreck, rob and ruin”.

Mr. Taylor concluded; “The sinister activities of the British Crown Forces will continue to be exposed by RNU. We ask other-linked minded groups to also do likewise. There is no substitute for community solidarity in the face of an upsurge in anti-Republicanism”.
